Welcome

Dear colleagues and friends,

Teledermatology is here to stay. It is here to grow far and beyond. It is here to make the remote look close and bring the forgotten back to light. One million invisible conduits packed with images leading to a better medicine; digital pulses of relief for a healthy global village. So far yet so close.

And what a better place to find about it than Barcelona, the cosmopolitan city that is continually washed by a sea that is a paradigm of health. The city opens itself to the rest of the world while bonds with multiple cultures are being made. Here, modernism and gothic go hand in hand. A city of contrasts where a roman villa quietly rests next to a fashion store and where Gaudí ´s buildings look like anthills covered by zillions of tourists. This is the city where people go bicing and a young piece of bread will always be married to a chunky tomato. Life is Mediterranean: it is vermouth with potato chips, it is a sunny square with elderly dancing sardana, and it is enjoying yourself while breaking the crust of a caramelized crema catalana.

Since 2006 Barcelona is also the host of the GSMA Mobile World Congress, the world's largest exhibition for the global mobile industry and a conference featuring prominent executives representing mobile operators, device manufacturers, technology providers, vendors and content owners from all over the world. In the headquarters of the mobile industry, you‘ll find the perfect arena to experience an exchange between innovation and knowledge about this XXIst Century subspecialty in the medical field of dermatology; the most vibrant application of telemedicine and e-health.

We could not think of a better place for the 5th World Congress of Teledermatology!

We look forward to welcoming you to Barcelona. We anticipate that you’ll have a rich and unforgettable experience, both professionally and personally

Thanks for joining us!
